GLOBAL SCOPE integrates high quality Mobile Digital Video Recorders (MDVR) for use in trains, taxi cabs, buses, watercraft, commercial fleets and other public and commercial vehicles. MDVRs can be used as both a security and management tool. MDVRs are an effective tool that will condition drivers to drive safer and take better care of the vehicles to reduce maintenance expenses. In addition to visually recording what is happening in and around the vehicle, the MDVRs are also capable of determining where the vehicle went, its speed and whether the driver was operating the vehicle safely.
The Dedicated Micros TransVu ruggedized MDVR is designed for the unique demands of harsh mobile environments. Boasting the highest industry design standards for robustness, flexible storage options, and flexible system access and control options. MDVRs can provide support and management staff with a range of video from inside and outside each vehicle in the fleet. They can help deter vandalism, theft or other crimes, while at the same time provide better risk management, improve situational awareness, provide reliable video evidence of events, and increase overall public and staff safety and help in accident investigations.
In addition to advanced power management abilities, the MDVR also features passive GPS capabilities to record speed and location of the vehicle and supports most, industry standard active GPS to locate the vehicle in real time by transmitting positional co-ordinates via SMS. These and a multitude of other features combine to make TransVu the most powerful public transport surveillance tool available. The MDVR can be connected to wireless network as well as cellular communication for viewing of live or recorded video.
Dedicated Micros TransVu Mobile DVRs also integrate tightly with other Dedicated Micros systems running in facilities under a unified set of software applications, for a consistent video security environment that helps improve operational efficiencies.
Powerful Video Export Options
Exporting the video as 'evidence' or for archiving is simple and easy. Video can be burned onto a CD or hard disk directly from the MDVR by connecting the supplied cable to unit and attaching a CD-RW drive or hard disk. Video can also be exported by connecting the MDVR directly to a wireless network, internet, LAN or by cross-over Ethernet cable to a Laptop or PC. An alternate method is to take the removable hard disk to another MDVR connected in a LAN and copy the video to a PC hard disk across the LAN.
The playback software is easy to distribute and use when the need arises for the police to view a recorded incident. With the DM playback viewer software, the user can simply insert the CD into their computer and play the video clip automatically.
